Alexis W. Pawelek

Senior Associate

Alexis W. Pawelek grew up in a large family greatly familiar with the oil and gas world. She began running oil and gas title and assisted in drafting title opinions as a law clerk in West Texas, while she was attending law school. She also worked for Railroad Commission Office of General Counsel in her final year of law school. This early, hands-on experience kick-started her love for Oil and Gas and Title Opinion work.

Alexis has worked on title opinions in Texas, New Mexico, North Dakota and Montana. She has provided title opinions involving complex mineral interests and overlapping spacing units, including accretion and waterways, across multiple states and counties. She is licensed in Texas and Montana, and lives in Seguin, Texas with her husband and two daughters.

“I have always loved puzzles and solving mysteries. To me, examining title is a lot like putting together a great puzzle – sometimes it goes together smooth and easy, sometimes the pieces are a little more difficult to get into place, sometimes a piece falls or disappears and you have to go searching for it – but it is always satisfying when all your pieces come together to get you to the end result!”
