Kim M. Veal
Senior Associate
With over 21 years of experience in oil and gas title examination, Kim Veal helps operators and producers navigate complex title and due diligence matters with confidence. As a Senior Associate at Feighny Hartle, Kim focuses extensively on Held-By-Production (HBP) analysis and division order title opinions, particularly within Oklahoma’s key plays.
From Landman to Title Attorney
Kim’s industry career began in the field as an independent landman managing ownership analysis for a large-scale acquisition in the Arkoma Basin. That hands-on exposure quickly led to drafting title opinions for the development, laying the foundation for a career dedicated to thorough, client-focused title services across Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Kansas, Ohio, North Dakota, and Wyoming.
Precision Title & HBP Analysis
Drawing on an accounting and legal background from the University of Oklahoma—supplemented by two summer terms studying at Oxford University—Kim brings sharp analytical precision to historical production reviews and lease terms. Her work ensures clients receive clear, actionable guidance on ownership rights and revenue payability.
Outside the Office
Outside the office, Kim stays busy as a proud mother of seven children, an avid sports enthusiast, and an outdoor and music lover.
"People ask how I balance intricate HBP analyses across seven states—the truth is, after raising seven kids, keeping complex records straight and finding order in chaos feels easy. Both require endless patience, sharp organization, and the ability to resolve any dispute."
