Rachel Lee

Partner

Rachel Lee’s practice focuses on complex title examination and preparing original and supplemental acquisition, drilling, and division order title opinions. She also advises oil and gas operators on matters ranging from day-to-day issues to in-depth title analysis, with a concentration in the Permian Basin, and handles due diligence for oil and gas acquisitions and divestitures.

Landman Experience Behind Practical Title Solutions

Rachel began her career as a landman, performing title examination and curative work in counties across East and West Texas, Colorado, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Ohio, and Wyoming. She later moved into project management, where she led teams of field landmen and advised clients on title issues. That experience taught her the value of quick, pragmatic solutions to title problems, an approach she brings to her legal practice. Rachel has more than a decade of experience in the oil and gas industry and has authored over one hundred title opinions.

Leadership in the Oil and Gas Community

Outside of work, Rachel is active in the oil and gas community. She is a member of the Denver Association of Oil and Gas Title Lawyers, and has served on the board in various capacities for the past three years. She is also a member of the American Association of Professional Landmen, the Denver Association of Petroleum Landmen, and the Women in Oil and Gas Association.
