Zachary L. Harvey

Senior Associate

Zachary “Zach” L. Harvey helps banks and CDCs move commercial loans from approval to funding, handling the documentation and SBA program requirements that stand between an approved credit and a closed one.

SBA 7(a) Lending, Start to Finish

Zach represents banks and certified development companies (CDCs) in SBA 7(a) loans, preparing and reviewing loan documents and taking deals through closing. He works through the SBA Authorization and program requirements with lenders so the file is clean and the guaranty is protected, whether the borrower is a first-time small business owner or an established company expanding.

Conventional Credits, Large and Small

Zach’s experience covers conventional commercial and commercial real estate lending as well as SBA. Before returning to Feighny Hartle, he practiced in Tennessee representing regional banks on conventional commercial loans. Across his practice, he has handled loans ranging from $100,000 to $70 million, giving lenders one lawyer who can cover both sides of their commercial book.

Focused on Tennessee and Texas Lenders

Based in Middle Tennessee and licensed in both Tennessee and Texas, Zach works with lenders in both markets and is active in NADCO and the Tennessee Bankers Association. He earned his J.D. from South Texas College of Law and his B.S. in Economics from Texas A&M University, and that economics background shapes how he reads a credit and the structure behind it.
